Position / Specialty : Pediatric ER RN

Ratios : 1 : 4 for days, nights & weekends, can increase when unit is busy

Years of experience REQ : 2 years

First-timers accepted : (Y / N) Yes, with strong experience

Weekend REQ : Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed. Weekend days constitute Saturday and Sunday, weekend nights are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Certs REQ : BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, ENPC

Is on-call REQ? (Y / N) What is the req? No

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, Peds ED does have to occasionally float to the Pediatric admission floors, travelers are expected to work per staffing needs.

Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y / N) Not guaranteed

Locals accepted : (Y / N) What is the local radius rule? No locals within 75 miles

Pending License accepted : (Y / N) Yes

RTO Restrictions : Greater than 7 days needs approval.

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week, facility is allowed to call off 3x throughout a 13-week assignment

Special Requirements : Must have pediatric experience within a Adult / Pedi combined ED or a Pediatric ED, Triage, Pediatric Dosage Calculations, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, Interpretation of 12 Lead EKG, Interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias.

Unit Details : during high census periods, admission holds maybe boarded in the Peds ED for longer then normal, Trauma / resuscitation experience preferred

The ratios are essentially 4 : 1, however when we are busy, they can increase.
