Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for an inpatient rehab assignment requiring state licensure and VitalStim experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an inpatient rehabilitation unit
  • Serves acute care patient population
  • Day shift with hours from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, five days a week
  • Uses EPIC EMR system, with prior experience preferred
  • Duties focus on providing speech therapy services for acute rehabilitation patients
  • Onsite orientation and training modules are required and completed on the first week
  • No more than 3 days of requested time off are automatically approved, and no time off is approved during the first week of orientation
  • Candidates who were former permanent staff must have at least a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this assignment

    • Requirements

  • Current SLP license and ASHA CCC required if applicable
  • VitalStim certification required
  • At least 2 years of acute therapy experience required
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • State licensure must be valid at time of consideration
  • Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and not in excluded counties
