Staff Accountant

Summary

Assist with month-end closing process and record keeping responsibilities. Provide reporting and analysis from the information contained in the accounting system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist with month-end close for Summit Racing Equipment, as well as other entities, in a manner that maintains accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
• Analyze and communicate results with Accounting Supervisor.
• Maintain effective and efficient communication within the department and throughout other departments. This includes reporting to managers their department's monthly expenditures and assisting them with any questions concerning these expenditures.
• Assist with the recording and maintaining of fixed asset listings.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist with year end processes and gather requested information for outside auditors.
• Perform other accounting tasks as needed and work with Supervisor on miscellaneous accounting functions.

Education & Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting . 1 - 2 years of general bookkeeping / accounting. Experience with month-end closing process and reporting preferred.

Initial training will be 90 days and 100% on-site.

After training period, this will be a hybrid position with minimum 2 days on-site.

Candidates must be located in OH and able to commute to the office to be considered.
