Role Summary

As a DSP, youll provide direct daily living support, skill development, and community integration for participants. You'll assist in personal care, facilitate recreation, and document progressall within a respect-driven, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care: hygiene, grooming, meals, medication reminders
• Support daily living skills: budgeting, meal prep, housekeeping
• Facilitate community access: appointments and recreational activities
• Encourage social, educational, and emotional growth
• Implement individualized plans and behavior supports
• Observe and document participant progress and any health or behavioral changes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (case managers, therapists, families, supervisors)
• Uphold safety standards and agency protocols

Required Qualifications

• 18years old
• High school diploma or equivalent (some roles may require additional education)
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record (for community outings)
• Ability to pass background/criminal record checks
• Physical capability: lifting, kneeling, bending as needed
• Basic CPR/First Aid certification must obtain within 30 days of hire (Attuf Group can provide)
• Strong communication, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with IDD, mental health, or caregiving
• Postsecondary coursework or certification in human services
• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English)
