Production Supervisor – Manufacturing (Full-Time)

Location: Tennessee Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial Production Schedule: Full-time | 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and support a high-performance production team. This role oversees workflow, monitors quality and safety standards, and ensures production goals are met efficiently and consistently.

Ideal candidates are strong communicators, hands-on leaders, and committed to continuous improvement within a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production employees
• Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure shift goals are achieved
• Train, coach, and develop team members to promote operational excellence
• Enforce safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards
• Oversee quality checks and ensure products meet specifications
• Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with maintenance when needed
• Maintain accurate production reports, shift logs, and KPI tracking
• Drive 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Communicate effectively with management, maintenance, and other departments

✔️ Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety practices
• Proven leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement solutions
• Comfortable standing/walking for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed

⭐ Preferred Skills

• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma
• ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Experience in automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing
