ICU RN Travel Job Details
Location : Taos, New Mexico (87571) – New Mexico nursing jobs
Assignment Length : 13 weeks
Start Date : December 8, 2025
End Date : March 9, 2026
Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)
Hours per Week : 36
Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Patient Ratio : 1 : 2
Estimated Weekly Salary : $2020 - $2070 per week
Free parking on-site in a designated lot
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand before start date
Minimum 2.5 years of recent ICU RN experience (3+ years preferred)
Travel nursing experience required
Certifications : ACLS and BLS required; PALS, TNCC, and NRP preferred
Experience with EMR systems (Evident preferred)
Must provide two professional references at time of submission
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Must live at least 75 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
Zero tolerance policy for marijuana use
ICU RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing to patients in a 6-bed ICU
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
Administer medications, blood products, and manage advanced life-support equipment
Perform and assist with procedures such as central line care, arterial line management, ventilator management, and wound care
Interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and social services
Maintain infection prevention standards and isolation precautions
Provide patient and family education and support
Participate in block scheduling if requested and approved
