Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of clinical experience, including 1 year in pediatrics, to join a collaborative outpatient clinic team.
Responsibilities
Work in a pediatric outpatient clinic setting with occasional travel to nearby clinics if neededPatient caseload includes 8-10 patients per 8-hour day or 10-12 for 10-hour days, with 30-minute visitsTreat patients with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, basic speech disorders, and behavioral support needsFeeding therapy is not requiredRainTree EMR is used for documentation and in-clinic charting, with training providedPreferred schedule is four 10-hour day shifts (8am-7pm), Monday through Thursday, including two evenings until 7pmNo weekend or on-call shifts requiredWill work closely with a team of experienced SLPs and have access to a Clinical Competency Specialist for support and guidanceTeam-oriented environment focused on collaboration and mutual supportRequired to participate in clinic activities and engage with staff and familiesFirst-time travelers are accepted and encouraged to applyDress code is green or grey scrubs (Baylor College Green), business casual is also permitted, tennis shoes allowedCharting must be completed in-clinic and cannot be taken homeLocal candidates within 50 miles are eligible to applyComprehensive orientation with EMR training provided before the first patient visitRequirements
Current state SLP license required for consideration; license must be active at time of submissionAt least 2 years of clinical experience as an SLP, including a minimum of 1 year in pediatricsACLS certification requiredNo disciplinary hits on licensePrevious outpatient or clinical pediatric SLP experience strongly preferredAbility to chart accurately and efficiently using RainTree EMR (training provided)Strong teamwork and patient-first mentalityBenefits
