Opens : Senior Electrical Engineer position with HYBRID work arrangement. Location : Any Black & Veatch U.S. Regional Office or remote eligible. This role may require in-office days as part of the hybrid schedule.

Overview

This is a technical leadership role in substation design, covering distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission level voltage classes. The candidate develops electrical design deliverables, supports project management, and interfaces with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Function as a technical specialist or lead substation design engineer for distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission level projects
• Develop electrical design deliverables, including protection and control design (protective relays) and / or physical design
• Participate in management, project scheduling, and work / resource planning meetings
• Interface directly with clients, vendors and subcontractors
• QA / QC projects and mentor junior engineers
