Position Summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Medical Assistant for an 8–10 week staffing assignment at a reputable Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic located in Chesterfield, MO. The Medical Assistant will support the clinical team by assisting with patient care, preparing exam rooms, and maintaining accurate documentation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced orthopedic setting while supporting a team committed to exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for orthopedic and sports medicine examinations and procedures
  • Record and update patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information
  • Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, and treatments
  • Manage and maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support daily clinical operations, including scheduling, room setup, and supply management
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow
  • Provide patient education and follow-up instructions as directed by healthcare providers
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment

Qualifications

  • Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting required
  • Orthopedic or sports medicine experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, orthopedic procedures, and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor
