American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with at least 3 years of CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification for an acute care assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position based in an acute care radiology department with 2 CT roomsWorks with adult and general patient populations including head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and biopsiesAverage of 65 CT scans per day across a 24-hour period12-hour rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as neededWeekend coverage every other weekend and possible inclusion in holiday rotationStaffing includes 3 technologists per day and some nursing support for IVs and premedicationUses GE VCT 64 slice and Siemens Somatom Definition 64 slice CT scannersEMR system is Cerner CommunityWorks, PACS is Intellirad / IntelliconnectNo requirement to float to other departmentsPossible to be the only technologist in the department overnightFive-shift orientation with a preceptor providedDuties include CT imaging of routine cases and biopsies, as well as sterile tray setupWilling to train on biopsy procedures if neededClean and professional scrubs of any color may be worn; emerald green optional to match permanent staffSupervision from Imaging Director, Manager, and Lead Tech, with additional phone support always availableRadiologist on site until 5pm, then on call; Vrad coverage for overnight interpreting 2am-6amFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyFormer employees of WVU Medicine facilities must have a 2-year gap before returning as a traveler; cumulative experience across WVU appliesLocal candidates within 50 miles are not eligibleTravelers may not work at WVU Medicine facilities for more than one year consecutively and must take a 2-year break after\n \n Requirements\n
