The role ensures individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. Nurse Managers and other leaders administer the clinical environment, supported by governance models. The practice framework is guided by a professional model and evidence-based practices. RN competencies are aligned with these models and the values of the organization. All RN Clinical Nurses in Emergency Services must uphold the practice outlined by the relevant legislation. This includes implementing ethical standards put forth by recognized nursing associations. As a member of the patient services team, it is expected to prioritize patient voices and system policies. This support contributes to achieving service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions include : Performing the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provide individualized clinical care using evidence-based practices and critical thinking. Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care considering population-specific characteristics. Partner with patients and significant others throughout care delivery and update them on progress. Utilize current clinical practice standards consistently in care delivery. Teamwork and Collaboration involve : Coordinating the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care. Engaging in interdisciplinary communication methods and promoting an inclusive clinical environment. Demonstrating teamwork that promotes staff recruitment and retention. Supporting performance improvement for safe and high-quality patient care. Professional Development includes : Completing initial and ongoing competency assessments and all required education. Serving as a mentor for other nurses and contributing to workforce development overall. Evidence-Based Practice and Research responsibilities entail : Promoting evidence-based practice and research within nursing. Participating in activities for evaluating patient care products and performance improvements. Upholding organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Resource Management involves : Planning proactively for patient care across the care continuum. Participating in protocol development in collaboration with the healthcare team.
