As a Clinical Nurse I in the Medical Surgical Hospitalist unit, the Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for assessing, coordinating, and delivering compassionate patient care throughout the entirety of the patient's hospital stay. This role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure quality service for diverse patient populations. Registered nurses in this position are encouraged to advance within the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway while maintaining a focus on excellence and stewardship in resource use.

The Registered Professional Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements and manages the needs of

assigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge, including during

transitions within the acute care stay. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery and

coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team. S / he assures that competent, compassionate

patient care is uniformly provided to customers including referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in the

inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.

• Registered Professional Nurses that participate in the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway (NPAP)

must progress from novice to competent within a specialty. Nurses are eligible to apply for advancement to

proficient or expert status as outlined in the NPAP.

Salary Range : $34.65 - $35.69
