Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,794 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Duration : 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse – L&D Unit Name : Women’s Services Requirements : Must have an active TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing Minimum 2 years of L&D experience Certifications Required : BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring training Must Have : Labor and delivery experience including ability to labor and recover the mother, receive and transition the newborn including assessment Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies preferred Advanced Skills Needed : Fetal monitoring education Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) Procedures Performed on Unit : C-sections Circumcisions Intra-uterine monitoring Vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : LDRP 9 beds, OBED 1 bed, NICU 4 beds, 1 OR suite Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 active labors, inductions, C-sections Couplet care 1 : 3 Newborns 1 : 1 until stable NICU 1 : 3 intermediate care (2 NICU nurses must be present if any NICU patients) Unit Staffing : No techs or unit secretaries Equipment : CPN central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps Documentation System : Meditech and CPN Scheduling Requirements : FT 3 shifts / week, rotating weekends and holidays; PRNs to complete Floating Policy : Regular staff float if not needed on unit; some staff cross-trained between LDRP & NICU Patient Experience Requirements : Daily rounding on all patients, SAFETY rounding Dress Code (Required) : Pink and / or brown scrubs per infant security policy Additional Information : Unit has 6 seasoned RNs with ~30 years’ experience each; excellent preceptors Several other nurses with 7–10 years of experience; highly competent team Strong teamwork and supportive culture Great opportunity to gain experience across labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care Express Healthcare Staffing of Nashville Job ID HT53.
