Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Pharmacy Buyer is responsible for purchasing and inventory control of drugs and supplies, ensuring pharmacy supply chain is compliant with GPO and 340B Program rules under the supervision of the Sr Pharmacy Buyer.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications :

High school graduate or GED or equivalent years of education, experience and / or training.
Three (3) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

3 years of related experience in health system pharmacy.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS

Required :

Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.

Preferred :

Supply Chain Management / Procurement Certification.
