IS Change Management Coord

Strategic Communication & Engagement

Develop and execute strategic internal and external communication plans to support IS transformation initiatives across Health Systems.

Craft clear, compelling content to communicate the purpose, benefits, and impacts of IS programs—tailored for staff, leadership, clinicians, and external stakeholders.

Lead the creation of executive-level presentations, talking points, and briefings that align with organizational mission and strategic goals.

Change Management Leadership

Build and manage change management strategies for large-scale IS implementations (e.g., EHR, ERP, infrastructure).

Conduct impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, and readiness planning to identify and manage resistance.

Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure successful change adoption and user engagement across departments.

Executive Communication & Support

Serve as a trusted advisor to IS and health system executives on matters related to change messaging, strategy, and stakeholder positioning.

Prepare executive summaries, board-level updates, and leadership toolkits to support strategic communication rollouts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with HR, Clinical Informatics, Training, and Organizational Development to ensure cohesive change and communication efforts.

Work closely with marketing and public relations to align external messaging and brand voice.

Lead internal workgroups or task forces focused on change adoption, communication, or engagement.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of change and communication strategies.

Gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users to refine engagement and communication approaches.

Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on adoption progress, engagement levels, and identified risks.

Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by :

Completing other job-related assignments and special projects as directed.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements :

  • Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
  • Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
  • Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
  • Maintains license / certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
  • Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position / department.
  • Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
  • Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
  • Complies with established organization and department policies.
  • Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

  • Education and Experience

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in project management or process improvement is required.
  • Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven experience in change management and strategic communication within healthcare or IT environments.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrates the interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with all members of BHS and representatives of outside organizations / agencies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under timelines to identify, prioritize and manage through completion of multiple deliverables.
  • Familiarity with large-scale IS implementations and healthcare operations.
  • Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment with occasional travel to health system sites.
  • May require extended hours during major IS implementations or communication rollouts.

    Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
