As a member of the FAPO Team, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking Workforce Solutions-FAPO department dedicated to vendor relationships through the successful execution of contracts and timely payments. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Vendor Relations, the Education & Training Lead is responsible for supporting and guiding personnel engaged in the selection of Education and Training vendors associated with regional high-skill, high-growth occupations, procuring goods and services to meet the objectives of Workforce Solutions.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Create and maintain relationships with venders / suppliers.
• Estimate and establish budgets for purchases.
• Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Review all vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain purchase records and other important data.

Provides general oversight to all solicitation activities; assist with the development and maintenance of all purchasing related policies, processes, and procedures; reviews purchasing related processes, and procedures for compliance with board policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations; manage projects list, prepare and analyze reports to measure annual departmental output; assist with planning and implementation of long-range goals and objectives and monitor progress of these goals. Performs functions for complex and / or sensitive purchasing actions including conducting market research, researching past expenditures, specification development, guiding overall solicitation process including specification development, issuance, evaluation methodology, and award recommendation. Assist the Assistant Director as needed. Supports recruiting efforts, onboarding vendor processes, orientations, and system process and procedures.
