Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PICU RN)

We are seeking an experienced PICU RN to join our Pediatric Critical Care team in a high acuity, fast paced environment. The PICU RN provides specialized, continuous care for critically ill or injured pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive assessments and manage critically ill pediatric patients

Monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and invasive lines; titrate drips per protocol

Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies as ordered

Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in condition, initiating emergency interventions as needed

Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care

Support patients and families with education and compassionate communication

Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR

Requirements

Active RN license (state specific or compact)

Minimum 2 years of recent PICU RN experience in the same specialty

BLS required; PALS and ACLS required

Strong pediatric critical care, advanced cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills

Comfortable with ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, and rapid response situations

Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K offered.
