Our Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) center at Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Safety Engineer to join the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) System Safety team in Tewksbury, MA. LCE is dedicated to ensuring that our products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and delivered on time. The LCE team encompasses multiple disciplines that support engineering, program offices, and customers throughout the entire life cycle of our products, from conception to deactivation. Our focus areas include product support disciplines such as reliability, system safety, and supportability. This role on the LADS System Safety team involves contributing to these key areas by ensuring the safety of software components within the LADS program, thereby upholding the high standards of product safety and reliability that LCE maintains.

As a Safety Engineer on the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) System Safety team, you will be responsible for the following tasks :

• Analyzing systems in accordance with MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, AOP-52, and other relevant standards.
• Participating in the execution of the System Safety Program.
• Interfacing with various stakeholders, including customers, program offices, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Assisting with the preparation of Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for customer approval.
• Assisting with safety technical reviews.
• Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications, and military standards.
• Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding of product architecture and design.

What we offer :

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
