Description :
Hydraulic Mechanic / Assembler
Disassembling, cleaning, recording part locations orientation, by stamping, engraving and photo documentation, recording conditions of each component. Moving to quality for inspection. Assembling, inserting seals and machined parts, testing, and painting of hydraulic manufactured products prior to being shipped to the customer.
Will be required to perform multiple tasks :
- Moving large and high-precision parts with the aid of overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Clean, using solvent tanks, to remove all foreign materials maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines.
- Reading and following basic diagrams, drawings, specifications, bills of material, and instructions to accurately assemble components into finished products
- Assisting other Assemblers when required
- Performing work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace or assembly station
- Participating in continual training and development
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Mechanical and hydraulic experience is considered an asset.Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.Ability to operate the required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.Effective verbal and listening communication skills.Time management skills.Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams.Commitment to quality and safety.Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.Maintains a set of tools required to perform assembly functions.Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.Knowledge of the properties of metals and other materialsPositive attitude.High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.Work Conditions
Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs.Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.).Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.Noise level is generally loud.Hazards associated with the industry.
