Security Officer / FT - Marion
MUSC / Florence, SC seeking experienced Security Officers on a full-time position at our MUSC Marion!
A Security Officer is responsible for protecting and serving MUSC Health Pee Dee Division patients, staff, and visitors, in addition to monitoring and protecting facilities and assets, across the Pee Dee Division. Security Officers monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.
Security Officers often perform the following duties daily :
Education Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience Minimum One (1) year relevant experience or appropriate preferred education requirements. Preferred Experience in healthcare security, corporate security, or law enforcement. Licenses & Certifications Minimum Valid driver's license in the State of SC. Completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six (6) months of hire. Preferred

Constant requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Ability to reach in all directions, maintain 20 / 40 vision corrected, see, and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment. Perform work duties indoors and outdoors with seasonal weather changes and conditions. Frequently lift and / or carry objects weighing 20 pounds unassisted and ability to lift from 36" to overhead objects or items more than 15 pounds.
