Full Time D / N Rotation, including holiday shifts. Shift hours are from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM, totaling 36 hours / week.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families. The ED RN assesses patient needs, identifies urgent or emergent care priorities, and collaboratively provides direct care, applies appropriate interventions, and evaluates patient progress.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Connect with patients and families during triage and establish rapport.

    • \n

  • Conduct primary and secondary assessments for patients of all age groups.

    • \n

  • Document any major deviations from norms and identify necessary interventions.

    • \n

  • Encourage mutual trust and cooperation among team members.

    • \n

  • Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments.

    • \n

  • Assess patient / family learning styles and provide structured education.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • One-year acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse.

    • \n

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only).

    • \n

  • Additional certifications such as PALS, NIHSS may be beneficial.
