Toyota's Production Strategy team is looking for a passionate, self-motivated, and highly organized Senior Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to spearhead the team's goal to improve business conditions through mid-to-long term supply chain efficiency, capacity utilization / optimization, production flexibility, and cost competitiveness. This role will be focused on strategic decisions for Toyota Powertrain and / or Vehicle commodities and / or qualification management (USMCA / Tariff) & requirement achievement.
Essential responsibilities :
- Creation of strategy for core activities : develop a plan of action for Make versus buy (MvB) studies, Capacity studies and Commodity strategies to ensure timely execution with quality built-in
- Cross functional daily coordination : lead multiple stakeholders (including various Toyota functions, suppliers and global headquarters) through project activities to achieve KPIs
- Summary and escalation : clear and concise visualization and presentation of project condition, risk and outlook to project stakeholders including executives
- Problem solving : organize working groups to gather accurate information, utilize strong analytical thinking, prepare insights and recommendations for strategic sourcing and capacity decisions
- Process standardization : support department in development and execution of Standard Operating Procedures; propose and implement process improvements
- Team lead : leading analysts supporting project, providing guidance and mentoring
- Countermeasure & Change Management : Define and negotiate the schedule(s) for countermeasure investigations with all critical stakeholders; incorporate PDCA into all plans; communicate technical information and summarize results to facilitate decision-making process
Typical Activities :
Development of mid-long term commodity strategy for manufacturing processMake v buy and capacity management : creating a plan of study, doing quantitative and qualitative analysis, creating proposal and setting direction.Develop strategies for how to manage vehicle or powertrain commodities, staying up-to-date with commodity trends and adapt to remain competitive.Daily management of project / study schedule and milestones : creation, coordination and tracking.Understanding and visualization of project status, potential risks and action plans.Annual volume confirmation and countermeasure developmentTechnical work : RMBSS Processing : determine appropriate final MvB condition and process appropriate documentation for downstream system communications to related groupsEmphasis on timeliness and accuracy.What you bring :
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Engineering or related field; OR equivalent experienceProfessional experience coordinating complex, cross-functional manufacturing / capacity studies with ability to define and evaluate options across critical KPI'sSelf-driven, independent work experience effectively managing multiple short- and long-term tasks simultaneouslyStrong communication (verbal and written), ability to deliver complex information clearly and concisely across cultures and organizational boundariesCritical thinking, identifying risks / gaps, generating potential solutions and evaluating impact.Fluent usage of MS Office : Excel (e.g., formulas, charts / graphs, etc.) and PowerPoint (e.g., building presentations)Ability to travel domestically & internationally (approx. 10%)Ability to work on site 3 days / week or more (subject to policy changes)Added bonus if you have experience in supply chain, manufacturing planning and operations, and / or manufacturing costing, preferably in automotive industryIn-depth knowledge or working experience with functions on trade & regulation (USMCA, Tariffs, etc) requirements and proven application thereofWork experience at Toyota, with TBP & JKK (Through Panel)Experience working on Toyota Powertrain or Vehicle related projectsProven problem solving and process improvement experience and / or trainingPower BI experienceAdvanced Excel (e.g., macros, V-look-up, pivot tables, etc.)During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
