SQL DBA

Our client is looking for a SQL Database Administrator for managing and supporting the database environment. This role involves overseeing database development, implementing new technologies, and ensuring effective database security practices. The position requires a strong understanding of relational database technology and the ability to provide long-term solutions that align database technology with business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for the database environment.

Oversee the development and organization of databases.

Assess and implement new technologies related to database management.

Implement effective DBMS security practices.

Coordinate with Security and Server support teams on database issues.

This person will not be handling the server side. They have a contract with Straight Path and they currently handle server side.

Hundreds of databases of many sizes. 3 instances. 4-5 servers.

on SQL server - Internal Web applications and almost every 3rd party tool runs on SQL server, all the badging and camera systems.

Use Solarwinds for monitoring

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or IT related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server in a multiple database environment.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00 / hr.
