License : California RCP License in hand required. Certifications : NBRC RRT, BLS, PALS, NRP (Advanced required). Must-Have : - Strong pediatric ICU skill set. - Experience in Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, and / or Cardiothoracic ICU. - Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator management. Description : Start date is January 5, pending licensing. Must have at least 1 year of experience in a NICU Level 4 / Trauma Level 1 facility. No scheduling requests allowed; no blocked scheduling. The position must be the primary one for the traveler, who must not be working another job if they submit. Seeking therapists who can work across at least two of the three ICUs including a Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, and / or the Cardiothoracic ICU. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts are required as per the contract. Four weekend shifts are required per 4-week period, typically two full weekends. Scheduling blocks are 4 weeks long. Staffing will attempt to provide every other weekend off, but this is not guaranteed. Day shift weekends are Saturdays and Sundays. National certifications required include NBRC RRT, BLS, PALS, and advanced NRP. Advanced NRP certification must be held prior to the start date or registration for an advanced class is required. BLS certification is required. Floating to meet facility needs is mandatory. Locals are not accepted. Pending State License applications are accepted. Maximum of 6 days of requested time off is permitted. Guaranteed hours are applicable once the call-off policy has been met. Experience must include at least 1 year in a NICU Level 4 and Trauma Level 1 facility. Pediatric care experience is required, including treatment of patients with various chronic and acute conditions. The unit serves a high-acuity patient population, including NICU and CTICU patients. Special procedures may be involved in the role. Preferred equipment experience includes specific ventilator models and advanced respiratory care tools. Travelers will be reimbursed for mileage when clinically floating to different locations.
