Job Summary

The quality inspector will be responsible for checking in-process and final inspections to assure the product conforms to drawings and TransTech Energy quality standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities :

• Ensure a high level of internal and external communication.
• Administer, document, and inspect weld quality and completion to a Weld Procedure (WPS).
• Inspect materials to ensure quality and code compliance of Material Test Reports (MTR).
• Perform lay-out, fit-up, and dimensional verifications in accordance with approved drawings.
• Perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) or Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT) Inspections of welds and base materials.
• Coordinate 3rd Party NDE crews.
• Document material traceability and inspections daily.
• Enter data of pass or fail for determination of quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. (Defect Trackers, Welder Efficiency, Weld Mapping, etc.)
• Assist in creating, documenting, and implementing inspection criteria and procedures.
• Interpret quality control philosophy to Production and other key personnel within Company.
• Perform inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
• May also perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
