About this Role :

The Research Data Analyst II (RDA II) will work in the Long Term Care System Development Unit (LTCSDU) of the Long Term Care Section, Fee-For-Service Rates Development Division. The duties of the position include responsibility for setting rates for the following facility types : Freestanding Nursing Facility, Level-B (FS / NF-B), Freestanding Adult Subacute Nursing Facility, Level-B (FSSA / NF-B), Freestanding Pediatric Subacute Facility (FS / PSA) and Distinct Part Pediatric Subacute Facility (DP / PSA). The RDA II is responsible for researching and establishing reimbursement rates for Long Term Care (LTC) providers under the Medi-Cal program, consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The RDA II will perform complex technical research, parenthetical research and statistical work in a variety of fields. The RDA II may provide consultative advice to various governmental entities and agencies, and may act as a lead person. Work at this level is often characterized by independent development and employment of research methodologies and techniques; and the designing and implementation of research projects. The RDA II may act as lead for major projects or activities, acquires knowledge of data processing and research and statistical methods and how they are applied to the programs of the agency, and may design or recommend changes in procedures or new programs for particular projects.
