JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY
HomeRiver Group is looking to hire an Area Manager to work onsite in either their East Orange, NJ or Trenton, NJ office. The Area Manager is responsible for the training and oversight of the Property Management activities for their team. The Area Manager ensures low vacancy rates, rent collections reviews, and resolves client and tenant related escalations. They are responsible for managing their team's performance and ensuring all key performance indicators are met and / or exceed. This position would require travel to both East Orange NJ and Trenton NJ offices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provides local oversight of all market operations for the region.
2. Acts as an escalation point for residents and the first escalation point for clients
3. Point of contact for initial client and customer escalations.
4. Drives team's performance to increase owner retention and satisfaction.
5. Responsible developing business opportunities by ensuring excellent customer service
is provided at all times and / or building a strong network within the assigned territory.
6. Manages for assigned territory within the market.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
5 + years property management experience.
2+ years minimum of supervisor experience managing property managers.
Knowledge of property management software i.e., Entrata, Yardi, AppFolio, etc.
Strong interpersonal skills and drive to provide superior customer service to all parties.
Self-starter attitude and ability to prioritize, handle multiple assignments, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of projects with minimal direct supervision.
