Job Summary

Our fee-for-service, dentist-owned general dentistry practice is currently seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist. Hours are 7 am to 4 pm, Monday and Tuesday with additional days possible. Our team approach is focused on the unique needs of the individual patient. We build relationships based upon communication and trust that support both dental health and overall well-being.

Requirements

A current license to practice dental hygiene in Maryland (RDH)

At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene

Ability to perform all hygiene clinical procedures including digital radiography, oral cancer screening, perio charting, prophylaxis, debridement, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, placement of Arestin, and the application of fluoride varnish

Proven success in advanced periodontal therapies preferred

Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively educate patients regarding their unique needs and home care instructions

Certification to administer local anesthetic

Familiarity with infection control requirements and processes

Outstanding time management skills

Willingness to contribute to the success of the team

Desire to provide the best patient care possible and build long-term relationships with patients

Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
