Job description

Overview : As a Dental Assistant at Sonrava, your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding patient care. You will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience, which is essential to our mission of providing extraordinary dental services. Responsibilities :

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and prioritize patient comfort.
  • Be fully engaged and prepared during assigned work hours.
  • Assist the doctor and hygienists with various dental procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Take, develop, and mount precise radiographs.
  • Review and log patient data and health histories prior to examinations.
  • Ensure all equipment and operatory spaces are clean and sterilized according to guidelines.
  • Maintain patient flow and schedule by executing procedures effectively.
  • Communicate with patients regarding their questions and provide education as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with all team members to create a positive experience for each patient.
  • Assist in scheduling follow-up appointments and manage lab cases for consistency and quality.
  • Monitor dental supplies and order as necessary, following approved guidelines.
  • Promote Sonrava’s services and products to enhance patient experience.
  • Complete assigned tasks and participate in daily meetings for smoother operations.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures in line with OSHA and BBP regulations.
  • Complete all professional training requirements.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current radiography certification is required.
  • State-required Dental Assistant certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Nitrous Oxide / Oxygen Analgesia certification is preferred.
  • Annual training for OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control must be maintained.
  • Skills and Abilities :

  • Experience in a patient-facing role is preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service and positive attitude is essential.
  • Professional integrity in communication and interactions is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Proficient in computer systems and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Work Environment and Conditions :

  • Overtime may be required as approved by Operations Leader.
  • Some travel may be needed for training and job functions.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment.
  • Expect prolonged periods of sitting and standing during work hours.
