Job Description :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned :

  • Manage and direct the team of Data Integrity Associates, with responsibility to support Center Store and Fresh Merchandising departments and category teams.
  • Ensure that each of the systems are properly functioning and interfacing with upstream and downstream applications through issue resolution and research.
  • Work with information owners from Supply Chain, Information Technology, Merchandising and Accounting to be abreast of how the systems are being used and ensure that end user problems are resolved.
  • Ensure that each of the systems remain in sync and investigate any discrepancies identified via exception reports and user feedback.
  • Establish a data validation process to mitigate entry errors and improve data accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct user training for Supply Chain and Merchandising systems in either a one-on-one or group settings.
  • Supervise the Data Integrity Associates job responsibilities; assign work and evaluate accuracy and timeliness of output.
  • Oversee the data input and integrity review of the Data Integrity team when Category Managers and Buyers from Merchandising and Procurement request to fulfill promotional activity, retail price changes and product distribution for the week that impact our stores and customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is responsible to supervise (10) ten Data Integrity associates and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Weis Markets policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

Qualification Requirements

Education and / or Experience

Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) Business, or related field, plus three (3) years' experience in a support or customer service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Retalix HQ, CGO, Category Analyzer / Billback Manager preferred.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other associates. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

    Mathematical Skills

    The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers with up to eight digits and to perform these operations using American units of money, weight, volume and distance.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Minimum age of 18 years old to perform in the role as agent of the company.

  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.

  • Ability to work with technology-based solutions, including reporting tools and internet-based solutions.
  • Typing speed of forty (40) WPM.
  • Ability to learn specialized, computer-based item management systems.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer programs.
  • The following qualities are helpful :

  • Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis.
  • Available to handle emergency situations 24 / 7.
  • Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis.
  • Understanding of merchandising concept of operation.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and / or Registrations

    This position requires a valid driver's license for business travel.
