SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Data Analyst, reporting to the Chief Program Officer (CPO), is responsible for the collection, organization, and interpretation of data, which serves to inform decision-making processes and enhance overall program performance.

  • This position is dedicated to supporting domestic abuse programs by gathering and analyzing data that illustrates the positive impact of support services on families, examining this data to showcase the various ways families succeed after participating in these essential programs, ultimately driving improvements and ensuring that the services provided are as effective as possible.
  • The Data Analyst will collaborate closely with program staff, case managers, and leadership to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and promote data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
  • The Data Analyst is tasked with collecting, compiling, tabulating, and preparing various reports related to the program, ensuring that all grant reporting requirements are met accurately and within the specified deadlines.

Additionally, the Data Analyst will utilize statistical tools to assist the CPO in the analysis of data and reports. This position involves handling a significant amount of confidential information and may include other duties assigned by the CPO.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing.
  • Other (Specify) : Masters preferred.

    • EXPERIENCE

  • Over one year, up to and including two years.

    • SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Strong customer focus skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, organizational & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to do needs assessment and make recommendations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work w / little supervision and use good judgment.
  • Ability to perform calculations and basis statistics.
  • Knowledge of databases and database administration to manage quality statistics and performance.
  • Extensive background in Word, Excel and MS Access.

    • OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
  • This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions.
  • Regular contact with subordinates, other departments, and persons and organizations outside the organization to supply or seek information and reports. Requires use of tact and discretion. May present data and reports at meeting.
