Assistant Attorney General - Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and case support to prosecutors in the state for DUII prosecutions at any stage.
• Develop and maintain a statewide resource for DUII case law, expand the existing motion bank, expert witness materials and other DUII resource materials.
• Provide information on DUII law via the DUII list serve and the DUII section of the Oregon District Attorney Resource Network (ODARN) website.
• Work on DUII publications.
• Assess the types of assistance requests received and use that information to determine needs for additional resource materials, trainings and other needs for successful prosecution.
• Present at and assist with DUII-related trainings.
• Coordinate with other Oregon and national programs dedicated to combating traffic-related crime including the Governor's office and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
