American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Telemetry position in Oregon requiring active OR license and strong telemetry skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work on a Medical / Surgical Telemetry unit in a short-term acute care hospitalNight shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 30) available with options for 36 or 48 hours per weekPatient ratios are 1 : 4-6 for RNsRequired to work every other weekendFloat may be required within scope, including to a nearby affiliate hospitalUnit specializes in surgical neurotrauma care with anticipated growth toward ICU / IMCUEpic EMR is required and used throughout the facilityDuties include management of telemetry and cardiac drips, rapid response activation, and patient care in a surgical neurotrauma care environmentFirst-time travelers will not be considered for this roleStrict RTO policy; any requests over 2 weeks require approval and additional requests after submittal may lead to removal from considerationRoyal blue scrubs requiredCOVID vaccination required with no exemptionsFree parking is available on-siteFormer permanent employees must wait at least 6 months after termination before being eligible for travel assignments\n \n Requirements\n
Active Oregon RN license required at startBLS certification through AHA requiredMinimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS / Tele / PCU settingsStrong telemetry skills and experience managing cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias requiredExperience with rapid response, computerized documentation, and O2 protocols requiredManagement of cardiac drips such as nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, and Nicardipine requiredPeripheral line and non-invasive airway management experience requiredIsolation precaution and PPE experience requiredEpic charting experience is requiredNeurotrauma stepdown experience and NIHSS certification preferredIV start skills preferred\n Benefits\n
