Job descriptionLead instructional and classroom management processes while maintaining high-level care and educational standards in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the Lead Teacher. Prepare in advance by studying course material when possible. Assist students in developing a thorough understanding of the subject matter. Utilize classroom and behavior management techniques to foster an effective and positive learning environment. Build relationships with students, staff, and the broader school community. Ensure all class responsibilities and project deadlines are met. Provide the Lead Teacher with a detailed report on lessons, activities, and class behavior. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (or an Allegra Franco certificate in place of a Bachelor’s degree, accepted for certain substitute positions). Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience. Experience in early childhood education. Knowledge of the Hebrew language, Jewish holidays, and customs (required for some substitute positions). Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student, staff, and parent information. Creative and passionate faculty and staff who value your input.
