Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant with an active state license and at least 1 year of experience for a rehabilitation therapy position.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a post-acute care rehabilitation setting
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Assist the Staff Physical Therapist with direct patient care and patient-related activities
  • Treat patients as directed by the Physical Therapist and per the physician’s treatment plan
  • Record daily treatment and weekly progress notes according to state board requirements
  • Participate in patient care conferences and staff in-service training as needed
  • Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in maintenance programs in preparation for discharge
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area and report equipment problems
  • Assist the nursing department with training of Restorative Aides
  • Maintain professional communication with supervisors and team members regarding patient progress
  • No supervisory responsibilities

  • Active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Proficient in computer skills including Casamba and Point Click Care
  • License required if applicable
