Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's manufacturing team in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and experience in accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures in all financial tasks.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including payment applications and reconciliations.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in billing and client payment operations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing required journal entries.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Enter daily labor ticket data into accounting software and reconcile weekly reports for payroll accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR to manage benefits administration, ensuring proper coverage and alignment with vendor billings.
- Assist in accounts payable tasks by entering invoices and investigating discrepancies.
- Contribute to cross-training efforts to support team flexibility and knowledge sharing.
Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.Strong understanding of month-end closing procedures and journal entry preparation.Experience with balance sheet and bank reconciliations.Familiarity with HR administration tasks, including benefits management.Advanced skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.Ability to enforce financial policies and drive accountability within the organization.Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
