Business Development Representative (BDR)

Location : Southwest Florida (Remote + Local)

Company : NerdSquad

Schedule : Full-Time, 30–40 hours per week

NerdSquad is a cybersecurity-first managed service provider (MSP) supporting professional service businesses across Southwest Florida. We help clients protect, comply, and grow through cutting-edge technology solutions and personalized support.

We’re looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our B2B client base and fuel our growth. You’ll work directly with the founder in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where initiative and creativity are rewarded.

Role Overview

As a BDR, you’ll generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, relationship building, and strategic outreach. Depending on your experience and goals, this position offers flexibility - from focusing purely on appointment setting to managing the entire sales cycle through to close (with corresponding compensation).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, social outreach and in-person meetings to identify and qualify prospective clients.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for the sales team and leadership.
  • Manage leads and track all interactions within our CRM system.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with potential clients through consistent follow-up and strong communication.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align outreach strategies and support demand generation campaigns.
  • Provide feedback on lead quality, campaign performance, and market trends.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry developments to effectively communicate our value proposition.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in B2B inside sales or telemarketing , ideally within a technology, SaaS, or MSP environment.
  • Strong command of English - both spoken and written.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital sales tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
  • Must reside in Southwest Florida and be available for periodic in-person and Zoom meetings during normal business hours (Eastern Time) .
  • Preferred :

  • Prior experience selling IT services, software, or technology solutions.
  • Experience working for an MSP or managed IT provider.
  • Familiarity with social media management or digital prospecting.
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly base pay plus recurring commissions on every contract sold.
