ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adheres to all ESD policies, programs, and operational SOP's on a daily basis as assigned by the EMS Lieutenant, EMS Battalion Chief, or Emergency Services Chief.
- May assist with the purchase of some ESD equipment.
- Adheres to and assists with the enforcement of rules, regulations, and procedures in accordance with federal, state industry's best practices, and policies.
- Directly responsible for the operation of assigned MICU and emergency medical equipment.
- Directly responsible for safely responding to and performing assigned duties at all interfacility patient transport calls ensuring the safety of personnel, patient, and the public.
- Responsible for safely responding to and performing assigned duties at medical emergency incidents and other emergencies when necessary, ensuring the safety of personnel, patient, and the public.
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of patient care records and reports for assigned incidents / calls.
- Responsible for maintaining assigned equipment in good working order, assisting with maintenance of EMS apparatus or equipment.
- Assists team members in maintaining a clean and tidy station environment.
- Assists with the delivery of public safety education programs as deemed necessary by the EMS Lieutenant or Emergency Services Chief.
- Participates at assigned public and ESD training and educational programs.
- Assists with assigned maintenance records and reports associated with emergency medical calls, personnel, equipment, and supplies for local, state, and federal use.
- Assists with the preparation of studies, reports, and recommendations as deemed necessary by the Emergency Services Chief for ESD Administration's review and approval.
- May represent the ESD as deemed by the Emergency Services Chief at local, state, and regional meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by the EMS Lieutenant, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, or Joint Emergency Services Chief.

Current / Active Paramedic Certification from Texas Department of State Health ServicesBLS CertificationACLS CertificationPALS Certification Within 90 Days of HireHigh School Diploma or GED RequiredValid Class C Driver's LicenseCandidate is Preferred to Have :
