JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for a Plant Engineer to monitor facility processes and procedures for adherence to all aspects of environmental regulatory and compliance with all Federal, State, Local and Company regulations.
Manages capital expenditure (CapEx) program and maintenance repair and operations annual planning and forecasting including obtaining quotes, preparing CapEx requests and following projects from conception to completion.
Directs and supervises the functions of the maintenance, environmental and electrical departments including developing schedules and controls a preventive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition. Manages employee development and succession planning.
Inspects and ensures jobs in process and at completion to ensure that standards of workmanship and safety are maintained.
Recommends, plans and implements equipment needs to improve production efficiency and / or cost reduction procedures.
Posses or attain licenses required by respective municipal, county / ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment.
Maintains plant drawings with the foresight of improving product flow.
Undertaking environmental protection projects and management systems.
Oversee financial review and reporting, monitoring and reporting reports for maintenance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must have knowledge of mechanical principles, machining practices, mathematics and dimensions to production machinery and tooling.
Experience with Woven and Non Woven processes is preferred.
Proficient with AutoDesk and or Solidworks Design Software along with strong drafting skills and computer systems and data processing.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of all current government standards and the ability to identify, develop, implement and measure including water and wastewater systems, DEP, EPA, etc.
Excellent written communication skills and proficiency with technical and environmental reports.
Good interpersonal skills with an analytical mindset and good problem solving skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree is preferred.
Several years of experience in a production environment is preferred.
