JOB SUMMARY
Marymount University is looking for a Night-Shift Supervisor for Custodial Services (2pm-10 : 30pm). The Custodial Supervisor assists the Manager with staffing plans, coordinates and manages custodial and event setup activities in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment ensuring compliance with quality cleaning standards and all University and departmental policies and procedures. This position manages Custodial services staff assigned to various areas of the University campus on a variety of work schedules. The successful candidate will possess a management style which includes excellent team building skills, team cleaning concepts, quality controls, staff training and development resulting in excellent customer service and a demonstrated track record of leadership qualities. Work ethic will include excellent cleaning skills, quality controls, and team work. The successful candidate will possess a passion for their work and believe in the mission of Marymount University.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages Custodial Area Staff.
- Communicates with University management, customers and staff to ensure needs are met and cleaning and event setup standards are achieved.
- Confers with and advises staff, students and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, goals completion and policy interpretation.
- Provides coaching, training and team building to staff to enhance their career development and safety.
- Assists the Director with all personnel matters including hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Coordinates service requests and schedules for custodial and event setup activities, major projects and all special functions to meet customer needs while maintaining balanced workloads of multiple teams.
- Communicates effectively and respectfully with staff, customers and the University community.
- Prepares periodic and special reports for management on custodial activities.
- Works with the Director to ensure that the required supplies and equipment are available to staff to meet quality cleaning standards.
- Non-shift hours, weekend and holiday work may be required.
- Driving of University vehicle may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred. High School Diploma required.Minimum of 5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Driver’s License upon employment. Good driving record.Successful completion of background check upon employment.Preferred Qualifications
