Responsibilities

Under the supervision and guidance of the Associate Director of Business Career Services Operations, the Graduate Program Student Success Advisor has the following responsibilities :

Career Coaching and Student Support :

• Provide professional development services to in-person and online graduate students, including but not limited to one-on-one coaching & career management sessions, resume and job document review, career planning assistance, mock interviews and internship guidance and evaluation. Meet regularly with graduate students to develop and implement their career launch plans.
• Assist graduate students with developing professional documents including resumes, cover letters, and networking emails, as well as professional branding and professional portfolios.
• Coach graduate students on interviewing skills, networking opportunities, evaluation of job offers, and salary negotiation, in addition to world of workplace exposure opportunities.
• Design, develop, and lead workshops, classroom presentations, and information sessions to help graduate students identify and articulate their career readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience with the principles and practices of career coaching, career readiness and professional development initiatives, talent acquisition and customer service, or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of the same experience. (Note : or a combination of post high school education or experience equal to six years.)

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree.

Three years of experience with the principles and practices of career coaching, career readiness and professional development initiatives, talent acquisition and customer service. Experience with course instruction and teaching methodology.
