Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Locums CRNA - New Hampton, Iowa

Position Overview

Role : Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Location : Must be local or within driving distance

Coverage : Ongoing sporadic coverage for PTO coverage

Schedule : Guaranteed 8-hour days (schedule may vary)

Call : NO CALL (all surgeries scheduled)

Clinical Details

Surgical Cases :

Cataracts : 11 to 15 per day

Other procedures : 3 to 4 per day

Procedures Include :

General adult and pediatric surgery

Minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia (total knees only)

Regional anesthesia, ventilation management, local infiltration

Common cases : cataracts, colonoscopies, EGDs, carpal tunnel, total hips and knees, scopes

OR Setup :

2 operating rooms staffed with surgical techs, RNs, CRNAs, and surgeons

Trauma Level : IV

Annual ER Volume : 5000 visits

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications :

NBCRNA Certification - REQUIRED

Active Iowa State License - REQUIRED

BLS, ACLS, PALS - REQUIRED

Experience : No new grads; must have prior experience

EMR : EPIC (Providers must complete a 4-5 hour training class; training is compensated)

Work Style : Must be able to work independently; provider or surgeon will also be present

Additional Notes

Prefer candidates within driving distance due to individual shifts
