The Edge by Symbios Health is a performance-focused gym specializing in specialty programs based around weight loss and perimenopausal women. We offer group fitness, private, and semi-private training within a collaborative, wellness-centered environment.
Position Summary :
We are seeking a certified, experienced, and motivated personal trainer with a passion for helping people achieve weight loss and helping to empower women through any stage of life. The ideal candidate is professional, energetic, coachable, and excited to thrive in a team-oriented setting.
As a Fitness Coach, you will deliver high-quality, individualized training programs to a diverse range of clients. You’ll work closely with our integrated medical and wellness team to support overall client health, mobility, and athletic performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Program Design & Delivery :
- Help with the development and implementation of individualized fitness plans and lead group classes using functional movements (e.g., barbell exercises, kettlebells, calisthenics, cardio, and HIIT).
- Client Assessment :
- Conduct initial evaluations and ongoing fitness assessments to tailor programs to individual goals and progress.
- Coaching & Motivation :
- Provide hands-on instruction, ensure correct form, and inspire clients to achieve their fitness objectives in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Private & Semi-Private Training :
- Lead one-on-one and small group sessions focused on weight loss and strengthening women.
- Group Classes :
- Facilitate dynamic group workouts that are scalable to a variety of skill levels, fostering a supportive and encouraging fitness community.
- Collaboration :
- Coordinate with Symbios Health medical and nutrition staff to align training programs with broader wellness goals.
- Client Education :
- Educate clients on exercise technique, mobility, and the long-term benefits of functional fitness.
- Facility Maintenance :
- Maintain a clean, safe training space and ensure all equipment is in working order.
Qualifications : Required :
Nationally recognized personal training certification (NASM, ACE, CrossFit Level 1, or equivalent)Experience in personal and / or group trainingStrong knowledge of functional fitness, strength training, and high-intensity workoutsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCurrent CPR / AED certificationPreferred :
Certifications or specializations in mobility, HIIT, or specialty woman’s programsExperience working with a wide range of clients, from beginners to elite athletesBackground in integrating fitness with nutrition or medical wellness programsPhysical Requirements :
Ability to demonstrate exercises and stand for extended periodsCapable of lifting and moving fitness equipment (e.g., barbells, kettlebells)Physically able to perform and coach high-intensity functional movements
