Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool setting Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum / mother-baby Day shift only, 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00 Assignments are 13 weeks in duration with every other weekend required Must work at least 2 out of the 3 winter holidays Expectation to adhere to hospital float policies Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required Provide care across a range of pediatric specialties and units according to hospital needs Must successfully complete hospital orientation modules, which may include up to 16 hours of non-billable time Required to float within pediatric units based on staffing needs and in accordance with professional scope Maximum of 40 hours of approved time off is permitted per 13-week contract Travelers who have worked previously must be separated for one year and receive leadership approval for return Travelers are not eligible to return after 365 days of assignment regardless of separation period No local candidate restrictions or radius rules apply for this position RNs must wear required scrubs as dictated by hospital policy Requirements Active VA or Compact RN license; pending license may be considered if in hand by the Wednesday before start date Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required or must be obtained prior to starting Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required Prior experience in PICU and NICU settings required; float pool experience preferred Epic documentation experience required Two professional references required for consideration BSN preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628451.
