The Inside Claims Representative II – Total Loss contributes to Wawanesa’s goal of delivering an exceptional and consistent claims service experience through the fair and equitable adjustment of moderately complex auto total loss claims utilizing telephone and written correspondence, working directly with repair facilities, customers, and appraisers.
Compensation : Depends on experience and varies by location.
Colorado Compensation :
- The pay range for this position is $26.26 - $41.36 per hour, depending on experience.
- This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek or more than 12 hours in a workday.
Nevada Compensation :
The pay range for this position is $27.57 - $41.36 per hour, depending on experience.This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.Washington Compensation :
The pay range for this position is $26.26 - $39.39 per hour, depending on experience.This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.Job Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service through empathy, understanding of customer needs, and proactive handlingInterpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage and ensure appropriate reservingObtain and evaluate relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third party adjusters, contractors and repair facilities in order to quantify losses and validate total loss evaluationNegotiate settlement of total loss claims with insureds, claimants, and attorneys to reach fair and equitable settlementsCommunicate with repair facilities, lien holders, tow facilities, and other vendors to obtain relevant information to settle claimCoordinate services with vendors and service providers, such as rental and salvageSecure documents needed to process titles and salvage of vehiclesManage pending claims and workload timely and proactively to expedite total loss settlementsMaintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims systemRemain up-to-date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industryMay also manage salvage inventory by resolving release issues, setting minimum bids, reviewing bid approval requests, reviewing aging inventory, and resolving title problemsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Minimum 1+ years of insurance claims adjusting experienceEffective customer service skills including empathy and concern for our customersStrong communication skills, both written and oralStrong investigative and analytical skillsStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environmentDetail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entryStrong negotiation skillsCollege / University degree is preferredBenefits and Other Total Rewards Components Include :
