Job descriptionWarmly welcome and seat patients, creating a positive and comfortable experience Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all hygiene procedures run smoothly Review and update patient health histories, chart progress, and reinforce home care routines Perform cleanings, scaling, and root planing for patients with periodontal disease Apply fluoride and other preventative agents to promote healthy smiles Examine gums, identify signs of gum disease, and communicate findings clearly to patients and doctors Educate and motivate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care Assist with sterilization and support team efficiency Schedule appropriate re-care appointments to encourage continuity of care Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused environment Associates Degree from an ADA-accredited Dental Hygiene program Current State Licensure and CPR Certification At least 1 year of dental experience preferred (but not required) A caring personality and enthusiasm for patient education Balance of standing (60%) and sitting (40%) Moderate background noise from dental / lab equipment Frequent bending and movement in a clinical setting
