Position Summary :
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of meat products within a cold storage environment. This role ensures compliance with food safety standards, maintains accurate inventory, ensures with compliance to company policies & government regulations and leads a team to achieve operational efficiency and safety goals.
Key Responsibilities :

Develop and recommend warehouse and transportation policies, procedures, and systems.
2.
Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, transportation and shipping meat products.
3.
Perform inventory management and ensure proper rotation of inventory
4.
Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
5.
Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.
6.
Schedule and assign tasks to meet production and delivery timelines.
7.
Ensure that picking and loading operations are completed for on-time deliveries, and that pallets are wrapped and loaded according to customers’ requirements.

Coordinate employee sale deliveries in coordination with other company locations
9.
Maintain cold storage temperature requirements and monitor refrigeration systems.
10.
Resolve day-to-day issues involving warehouse and distribution operations.
11.
Maintain all records and provide a variety of reporting and cost data for management review.

Identify opportunities to minimize waste & improve efficiency

Conduct regular safety audits

Ensure equipment, work areas, and vehicles are appropriately maintained and operating continuously and efficiently by maintenance staff and outside vendors, in consultation with the 3

15.
Provide input to departmental budget preparation; ensure adherence to approved budget.
16.
Establish and maintain appropriate working relationships with outside vendors and internal company personnel. Serve as liaison with other processing departments / plants and Customer Service to exchange information and coordinate
17.
Keep abreast of current warehousing technologies and systems.
18.
Ensure compliance with FSQA, USDA, OSHA, EEO, and other appropriate agencies
19.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Communicate performance standards to and coach direct reports which include salaried personnel 20-25 warehouse personnel, ensuring compliance with government regulations, DC / Shipping Compliance, DOT regulations, company procedures, GMP’s & safety practices.
Mentor and motivate team members, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.
Communicate performance standards to team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments, and counseling performance problems.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
3+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in food or meat industry.
Strong knowledge of cold storage operations and food safety standards.
Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong working knowledge of application of IT / ERP systems related to warehouse & transportation with the ability to learn company software quickly.
Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate PIT equipment
Physical Requirements :
Ability to work in cold storage environments (temperatures as low as -10°F).
Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
