About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary, product-minded AI leader to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and growing a large GenAI organization, driving the development of AI features and workflows that are central to the company's strategy. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in AI product development, from inception to market leadership, and the ability to scale and lead a large team of engineers and researchers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in modern AI architectures, MLOps, and be fluent in programming languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript. They should also be adept at distilling complex AI concepts for both technical and executive audiences and have a history of attracting and inspiring top AI talent. Candidates for this role at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in production software, with at least 7 years focused on ML and AI systems, and a background in engineering leadership. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of AI technologies and be able to guide teams on model selection, fine-tuning strategies, and robust governance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including security, legal, and vendor partners, is essential to optimize for cost, performance, and compliance. The role also involves representing the company's AI leadership both internally and externally, through various channels such as keynotes, open-source contributions, and industry partnerships. A strong educational background in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred, along with a history of publication in AI research or community forums.
