Title : Flooring Operations Manager
Reports to : Vice President of Operations
Summary
The Flooring Operations Supervisor performs the necessary duties to ensure the successful order fulfillment and installation of the Flooring Division. This person is responsible for the overall management and administration of the division team including overall supervision, hiring, training, discipline and personnel development, sales and operations coordination, and order fulfillment management with overall emphasis on quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and team performance under budget. Skills needed for this position include supervising, organization, procedure writing, and training / development of personnel. Good oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational and analytical skills are required. This person will be responsible for handling projects from conception to completion : coordinating the order entry activities, overseeing estimating / design and delivery schedules, coordinating with customers, property managers to ensure a successful installation and complete customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Division Ownership
- Provide technical support to and receive project information from sales.
- Ensure total customer satisfaction for all installation projects.
- Maintain vehicles (as needed), equipment, and supplies including stock inventory.
- Lead team meetings and participate in status updates, accounting reviews, and training meetings.
- Provide weekly project status update to the Vice President of Operations.
- Work with the Vice President of Operations to develop the group's strategic vision.
- Maintain all company procedures, policies, dress code, and safety procedures
- Maintain courteous and responsive rapport with all team members, customers, contractors and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Sales and Project Management Coordination
Ensure PM Team reviews and has alignment on Scope of Work with Sales on each job.Provide Labor Pricing to ensure a successful installation while helping to ensure competitive market advantages wherever possible.Ensure coordination with warehouse, shops, customer, and vendors as needed to finalize the order, including proper delivery ticket management and assisting with inventory counts.Oversee and balance workload and schedule of Flooring Operations Team - looking for ways to maximize efficiencies on each order for cost savings without reducing quality.Interact with vendors to discuss production, sample requests, shipping, vendor errors and other pertinent issues.Assist with new flooring installations and repairs in the Storr Showroom.Order supplies and parts for inventory.Investigate order discrepancies with vendors and other customer satisfaction issues.On occasion, perform Project Lead duties for large installation projects, as needed and / or as directed by the Director of Operations.Order Fulfillment Management
Responsible for overall order fulfillment of all Flooring division projects.Assist as as needed with the operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, and handling of materials.Helps Warehouse and Receiving Teams with product knowledge to ensure accurate receiving and counting of flooring products.Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other departments, such as sales, transportation, staffing, purchasing, etc.Supervisory Responsibilities
