Sterilization Technician

Job Description

Requirements

Certification :

Required : CRCST (HSPA) — no other national certifications accepted

Preferred : CER, CIS, CHL (but CRCST is mandatory)

Experience :

5 years of Sterile Processing experience

2 completed travel assignments (minimum 13 weeks each)

1 year experience in a Level 1 academic medical center with 20+ ORs

Must have service line experience (must be noted in work history)

Skills & Competencies

Required Skills :

Decontamination, Prep & Pack

Steam & Low Temp Sterilization

Endoscope reprocessing

Case picking and sterilization

Service Lines :

Robotics, General, Cardiac, Perivascular, Cardiovascular

ENT, Eyes, Laparoscopic, Ortho, Ortho Spine, Neuro

Dental, Plastics, Urology, Endo, Loaners (implants)

Equipment Familiarity :

Olympus scopes and washers

Loaner trays

DaVinci Robot Xi (rated as experienced)

Processing Times : Minor set :

Dental set :

Ortho tray : ~15 minutes

• Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
